On this fine Monday morning on the river, it is clear and cool with a Low temperature of 51F. Our High today is predicted to reach 70F. They are telling me that the sunny skies we have this morning will give way to mostly cloudy skies this afternoon. The winds are light and variable. Our Relative Humidity is 100% and the dew point stands at 46F. The Barometer is steady at 30.03 inches. Our Sunrise came at 7:17AM this morning under clear skies. The Sunset this afternoon will occur at 6:24PM under some clouds.

Here is a Photo of The Blue Dog resting on a chair in the Hyatt Regency. When ever we travel she is allowed on the furniture. She is ever allowed to jump up on the bed (after we have used it for the night). She loves to travel and stay overnight in Hotel rooms!

The geese are flying on the river this morning. The river is fast filling with the migratory birds of the season. Sad they will all be prey next month, but this is the nature of the river. They come and they go.

We had an interesting Piebald sparrow in our booth this past weekend. I have nev
er seen this in sparrows before. I have see this in Grackles and Starlings, but never in sparrows. I have to see exactly what type of sparrow this is, but I believe it to be a song sparrow.

The Sunrise this morning was under cloudless skies, so the colors were not nearly as stunning as they normally are, however, beautiful none-the-less.

My favorite part of the day is watching the river wake up..

The birds turn on in a cacophony that is jarring. The crows, geese, ducks, cormorants, gulls & terns all adding voice to the coming of the sun...

The immature Eagle was up early this morning, fishing the river. Soon, as the Duck Hunters come out, she will have plenty to eat, as the wounded birds that do not make it into the pot, become dinner for the Eagles. Mother Nature waste nothing.

It is a beautiful morning on the river. Although I retired after midnight, I was up in time to get out into the cool temperatures, and watch the sunrise. The ducks and geese have really taken over the river. The Eagle was in attendance, fishing early for his breakfast.

Sherry is out early also, hunting and gathering. Her chores are many now, as it is time to prepare to close down the studio and get ready for the push to Florida.

Well, it is time to begin closing out the Bethesda show, and getting my "to do" list in order.
