Where to start? Vanna and I got up yesterday morning at 3:30AM for our trip to Gettysburg Battlefield, for Vanna's History paper. It was raining when we got there but by the time we got out of the visitor center (we watched a movie on the battle) the rain had slacked off a bit. The auto tour (we got a tape at the book store in the gift shop) was very educational. Vanna particularly enjoyed the Devil's Den. We had Mathew Brady photos, and we were doing a "then & now" photo trip. It was a really great time. I always enjoy seeing Gettysburg through "new eyes". What fun!
Our last stop before leaving was the "Maryland Monument". Interestingly enough, there were probably as many Maryland boys fighting for the South as fought for the North. The monument is located on the North side of the line, above cemetery ridge.
We arrived home, and hurried off to Madison's violin recital. It was really alot of fun, and Maddie did a great job.
Afterwards, we all headed over to Salsa's for dinner, and than over to the Brusters Ice Cream in Hollywood.
After some work on Fat Forest, we headed over to Jess & John's. Killian and I planted 20 thornless red raspberries, five each of Boyne, Latham, Heritage, and Fall Gold.
