The Eagles were out in force today. We had three in the Pecan Tree in the front yard, chirpping away at one another. The Northern Cardinals are out in force. We put some cracked corn on the ground, under the feeder, so the ducks can eat and drink. The hen seems to like it under the Kiwi bushes, so maybe she will nest there.
The Spotted Sandpiper showed up today. This is a neat little sandpiper that is very seclusive, and it shows up here every year.
In addition to the Spotted Sandpiper, the House Finch also made an appearance today. A male and female were on the feeder. So, to of our migratory feathered friends have returned home. I hope the next we see is the Eastern Tohee, the Thrush, and the Indigo Buntings. I will keep my fingers crossed.
