Hummingbirds were all over their feeder this morning. They are very leery of human activity, as we rarely sit on the deck at this time of morning. This makes photographing them particularly difficult. I will try again tomorrow, with a different camera, mounted on a tripod.

Some clouds and possibly an isolated thunderstorm this afternoon. High 93F. Lows this morning 74F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30%. There was a beautiful sunrise this morning on the St. Clements Bay. The air was cool, and the birds were very active. The Bluebirds continue to work on rearing their brood. I would guess this is their 2nd, maybe 3rd. brood of the season. Last year they were out by June 1st., and I cleaned the box for Purple Martins, that never came. This year, the Bluebirds have completely taken over, which is fine with me.

Yesterday evening, Vanna landed a very nice perch. This morning, Mimi is frying it up for Vanna's breakfast! And speaking of food, the kids gathered up a mess of crabs that Mimi steamed for an afternoon treat! While all of this was happening, I was in studio working on the Swartz commission. Tomorrow I will complete this, and move on to some more commissions(or perhaps some inventory replacement. Maybe even some painting!).
