Today we will have partly cloudy skies it will be hot with highs in the 90F and low in 68F. We have a chance of rain. the relative humidity is 69% and the barometer is steady at 30.06. The dew point is 66F. the sun got up this morning at 6:36 and will set at 7:34. Our winds are out of the South/Southwest at 5 to 10mph.

We left the island last night at 8:30PM. The show went to 7PM, the reason why I can not tell, but there you have it. We were hearing rumors the back-up off of the island was 3 hours. . However, we were off the island in the normal 30 minutes, with no back-up what-so-ever. Regardless, we are here in GLOUCESTER, VA in the walmart parking lot. we stopped last night at midnight. i wanted badly to get off of the island and past the va beach/norfolk/hampton roads area and over the york river. So we are out of harms way. at the moment, sherry is in walmart getting capt.bills birthday present. he is 83 today. happy birthday capt.bill. we are all happy you made it through you episode. now we all look forward to 84

Here is the Currituck Light with a family enjoying the view from the top. Check out the Fresnel Lens! What a beautiful work of glass!
Here we have a small dog in a prosthesis. The dog was hit by a car, and lost the use of its' hind legs. I asked the Owner how much this devise costs. He told me it was $200. I replied "...why, for $200 you could have gotten a new dog! One with all four legs working!...". It appeared as if he did not get my humor. He did say that the company that manufactures/fabricates these devises produces over 40,000 a year. That is a lot of mashed dogs!

Here is a beautiful sunrise over the Whalehead Club basin.
This is Hans. My first customer to ever come by my booth in a boat.

...and a wonderful sunset over the Sound. What a beautiful place to visit!

Arrived home at 12:30PM. Ain't it good to be back home again! A stack of bills awaited, as well as ankle high grass, dried out tomato & passion fruit plants, empty bird feeders, dry bird bath, a noisy Osprey and cool breeze off of the river. I went straight to the Weather Channel on the cable, and watched the evacuation of the Outer Banks. We did the right thing, getting out when we did.

Well. Now I close out these past two shows and get back to my tax chores. Sherry is doing laundry, as we generated quite a load while we were out for the week. She is also cleaning the house, cleaning the trailer, wrapping Capt.Bills gift, putting away groceries, and any number of little (aggravating) chores necessary to keep this ship afloat. I sure do love that girl. She is a wonderful mate to me!
