We had Rudy and his crew come over and open up some of the Live Oak canopy, behind the studio. Rudy was clearing away some underbrush over on the Post Office side of the property line, so I asked him if he would be interested in a "trabajo pequeno". I have in mind to put a rather large raised bed (for vegetables) along the rear of the studio. In order for the raised bed to be successful, it was necessary to open up the canopy and allow good light to get through. Rudy es uno bueno amigo, and always takes care of me. The next step will be to get Todd over here with his Bobcat to remove a portion of the shell bed. After that, I will construct the box out of 6X6, have Todd fill it with some really good Top Soil. install a drip water system, cover with silt cloth, mulch and (finally) plant. Quite a project, so we move forward one step at a time. It feels good to get this step completed, and to allow the sun to shine through.
