We arrived home from a busy day at the beach, to find a very thirsty Manatee lying about our boat dock. The kids wanted to fish before sunset. Sherry & I were in the living room reading, when we heard shots. We ran down to find the very large Manatee at the seawall. A boater passing by said the creature was seeking a drink of fresh water, as they are fresh water animals and require the occasional drink of the fresh.....

the poor thing lay still with only its' nose, eyes, and mouth out of water...
and drank up a storm for 30 mins. or more, until finally...
the sun began to set and it was time to turn off the hose, and turn in for the evening...
The Kids loved this, and we all hope our new friend will return tomorrow evening so John & Jess get the opportunity to see this really wonderful creature.
