I awoke this morning before dawn, to a very pleasant 54F. and the bite of fall in the air. A spectacular sunrise (as all sunrises are spectacular) at 6:38AM under clear skies. Today we will have abundant sunshine and a High of only 79F.! The Relative Humidity is 88% with a Dew Point at 50F, leaving us with a 0% chance of rain. The winds today are 5 to 10 mph from the West/Northwest. Our Barometer is holding fast at 30.02. We will have a sunset at 7:30PM. So, it looks as though it will turn off to be a beautiful Sunday!

Killian and The Blue Dog were out in their night shirts chicken necken at the crack of dawn. With the crabs on a real run, it is time to get them cooked and picked, and put up for the winter. Soon Killian will learn that this is as much work as it is play, especially the picking part!
The Hummers are all filling their tanks up at the feeders. They have a long trip ahead of them, and the availability of flower nectar is rapidly diminishing. It is close to the time to pull in the feeders, and move the Hummers along on their way to Central America. I hate doing this, but if they are kept here too long, and the feeders south of us are pulled, the poor little things will starve to death on their way to their Central American Casa's. Although you think you are doing the right thing, by feeding them, this is a classic example of the "Law of Unintended Consequences".

A terrific blood red sunrise over Newtowne Neck. Ol' Sol continues his march South!
The Hummer hanging out in the Pecan Tree. He is barely the size of a mature pecan nut.
A fisherman on his way out to the island, after Rock no doubt.
It is my intention to use this silhouette on my next glass panel, as a painted inclusion.
