When we got home the coon was holed up under the steps, still behaving in a bazaar manner. Much as I hated to, I dispatched him and disposed of the remains. Sad to do so, but I could not risk the coon being rabid, with the kids scheduled to come over tomorrow for the weekend. I really felt like I had no other option.
While all of this was happening, Sherry was on the bulkhead catching perch one after the other. She wanted to bait the pots, and fresh fish is the absolute best bait available. I joined in and, a bucket of fish later, we closed down for the evening, pots baited, and the rest bagged and put away in the freezer for the next time we need bait.
Sherry continues on her two commissions, and I continue work on my inventory replacement. Tomorrow, the kids! It looks like it is shaking out to be a fun weekend.
