We were all up bright and early this morning. Me to try to get a shot of the Osprey diving into the river for his breakfast, and Sherry to pack for her trip to DC.
To regress...Yesterday afternoon, just when we thought we were out of the woods, Capt.Bill had a relapse. Fortunately, he was hooked up to his Heart Monitor, and the Nursing Staff caught the attack immediately. The Cardiovascular Surgeon arrived, look over the situation, and informed Capt. Bill that, had he not been at hospital, he most likely would not have survived the episode. Furthermore, he scheduled Capt.Bill for a complete invasive diagnostic and a defibrillator implant procedure on Wednesday / Thursday at the Washington Hospital Center in DC.
Needless to say, this upset everyone. Sherry finally got back home by 7:30PM. I had dinner waiting for her. She ate, showered, made her call to Ms.Emmy to make certain she was settled in for the eveing, and headed off to bed. I suggested she book a room in DC for Wednesday and Thursday, as the travel back and forth is wearing at best. She agreed and book a room for herself and Ms. Emmy at a hotel that is on the Hospital campus.
So this morning she departed at 5AM, collected Ms.Emmy, and was off to DC. After several wrong turns, a short trip into Virginia, and a driving tour of the Nations Capital, she arrived at the Hospital, and made it to Capt.Bills room. More on this later, as the situation develops.
The Paddle Boat photos are from the kids yesterday. They seemed to have fun, for the little time that it lasted. Unfortunately, all of the goings-on centered around Capt. Bills episode, required the kids head back home. Jess came by in the afternoon and collected them and took them home.
As for today, I never did get the shot I wanted, but I will. Tomorrow is yet another day. Unfortunately, the tides are changing and once the morning High Tide becomes the morning Low Tide, the opportunity will have passed until next month. I am running out of time, and the Ospreys will leave at the first of October. We shall see.
And today's weather: HOTHOTHOT!!! with a High of 95F and a Low of 72F. Relative Humidity is 94%. The air is oppressive and hangs like a weight on the river. I can not see the Virginia Shoreline for he thickness in the air. The chance of an afternoon is only 30%, but my guess is that we will see something by afternoon. The Barometer is at 29.89 and raising. Our Dew Point is set at 72F. and our winds are light from the Northwest at 5 to 10 mph.
I continue work on the Pecan Point Heron.
5:17PM: All of the cutting and grinding on the Pecan Point Heron is complete. I will begin foiling (in the house) while I cook my dinner. Sherry has called. Capt.Bill is out of his procedure and doing fine. The Doctors are now talking about a triple bi-pass (open heart surgery). He is not too keen on this, and the debate continues. Sherry is stretched to the limit, trying to keep everyone up to day and answer all of the questions. Jess has stepped in and is acting as the official Spokesperson, which lets Sherry tend to Ms.Emmy and Capt. Bill. Thank God for Jess. She knows intuitively when her Mother is being stressed. I am thankful that she is so willing to help.

Good news, the Blue Gross Beak is still in residence. He is short timing now. It can't be that much longer until he takes off for Central America.
Well, back to the panel.
